A digital instrument cluster doesn’t have to look the same in every vehicle. In supported versions, it is possible to customise colour accents, graphic style, gauge needle colours, displayed elements and, in some modes, even the vehicle colour within the interface.

This allows the Virtual Cockpit to appear subtle, sporty or more expressive depending on what best suits your interior. The goal is to ensure the result doesn’t look like a generic add-on, but rather a solution tailored specifically to your vehicle.

MirrorBox connects the Virtual Cockpit with CarPlay and Android Auto

MirrorBox je ideálny doplnok pre vodičov, ktorí chcú z Virtual Cockpitu dostať ešte viac. Umožňuje preniesť rozhranie Apple CarPlay a Android Auto z originálneho rádia MIB priamo do digitálneho prístrojového panela, takže navigáciu, hudbu aj hovory vidíte tam, kde ich počas jazdy sledujete najprirodzenejšie.

With the correct configuration, MirrorBox can display content simultaneously on both the infotainment system and the Virtual Cockpit. This is especially beneficial for navigation, as the driver does not need to constantly shift their attention to the central display.

How does Virtual Cockpit work

Modern display, original electronics and preserved vehicle data

The Virtual Cockpit is designed as a modern upgrade to the instrument cluster that utilises the vehicle’s original electronics. During installation, the original cluster is disassembled and its electronic board is transferred into the housing of the new digital cockpit.

As a result, the vehicle retains its key identification data and communicates via the original data lines. This provides a modern interior appearance without unnecessary modifications to the wiring.

The product is an aftermarket solution designed to modernise the vehicle interior. It is not an original OEM part from the vehicle manufacturer and is not homologated as a road-legal replacement component. Use of the product is the responsibility of the vehicle owner and is subject to local regulations.

How does our Virtual Cockpit work

Our Virtual Cockpit is not an original OEM product, but a high-quality aftermarket component designed to be fully compatible with your vehicle without any invasive modifications. There is no need to modify the wiring, reprogram the immobiliser or perform any coding.

Preservation of the vehicle’s original electronics

The Virtual Cockpit operates on a simple yet sophisticated principle. During installation, the original instrument cluster is disassembled and its original electronic board is preserved. This original board is then integrated into the housing of our Virtual Cockpit.

Thanks to this the new Cockpit has original information available:

  • original vehicle data,
  • immobiliser functionality
  • exact mileage,
  • equipment information,
  • required vehicle identifiers.

The system operates just like the original instrument cluster, but with a completely modern look and expanded display capabilities.

Fast and reliable communication

Since the vehicle’s original electronics are used, all communication runs through the factory data lines. Data is displayed quickly, with responsiveness comparable to analogue gauges.

Controls and compatibility

To control the different display modes, the vehicle must be equipped with either the instrument cluster control stalk or a multifunction steering wheel. If these features are not present, we can retrofit and activate them after verifying compatibility.

The Virtual Cockpit is an aftermarket product designed to modernise the vehicle interior and is not an original OEM part from the manufacturer.
